You know those little McDonald’s apple pies? They taste great, right? That’s why I’ve come up with a healthier homemade version of them. Let me know what you think!
Ingredients (makes 12-13 pies):
3 apples cut into small squares
a big handful raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
yufka dough (12-13 leaves- can be found in oriental food stores)
1 tablespoon coconut oil
Instructions:
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Mix the cut-up apples, raisins, cinnamon and cardamom together in a bowl. Fill each yufka leaf with a handful of the apple mixture, fold it carefully, and place it on the baking tray. Once all the apple pies are on the tray, melt the coconut oil and brush a little bit onto each pie. Then, place the tray in the oven and bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes; until the dough turns golden-brown. Enjoy!
Looks crazy good!
