Now I’m not saying that this is a new idea or that I invented this one; it’s been around forever! The reason I’m still posting this recipe is that it’s one of my absolute favourites, and it will also be used as part of other recipes that I will be posting later on, so you can look this one up for reference.
Ingredients (serves 2):
1 avocado
2 heaped tablespoons cacao powder (best raw and unsweetened)
3-4 medium sized soft dates
!/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
almond milk (any other milk or water works too)
(other optional ingredients to spice it up: cinnamon, peppermint, chilli powder, …)
Instructions:
Put all the ingredients except the milk in a blender and start blending. Slowly add in a little bit of milk (you won’t need much!) until you get a smooth, creamy consistency. If you like it sweeter, just add one or two more dates. If the dates are not soft enough to blend, just soak them in warm water for a few minutes before adding them!
