Do you ever buy too many apples and end up not knowing what to do with them? Or do you, like me, just love crispy snacks but would like to have healthier options? Try these 2-ingredient homemade apple chips!
Ingredients (serves 4):
6 small or 3 big apples ( I used 6 rather small homegrown ones)
Dash of cinnamon

Just to give you an idea of the size…
Instructions:
- Wash and dry the apples. Leave the skin on. Then, core the apples and slice them as thin as you can using a sharp knife.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place the apple slices on the tray in one layer, without the slices touching each other. If one tray is not enough, you can use two or three trays at the same time, or re-use your one tray once the first load of chips is done.
- Place your tray(s) in the oven and bake at 100°C for 1 hour. Then, turn the chips around and bake for another 1-1,5 hours until the chips are crispy, but not too dark.
- Let the chips cool down, move them to a bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon to serve!
As it is quite difficult to core apples without cutting them using just a knife, I used this kind of apple corer:
This one is quite old, and I can’t remember where I got it from, but if you don’t have one and would like one, you can get them here:
US: Apple corer
UK: Apple corer
Germany: Apple corer
I hope you’ll enjoy your homemade apple chips!
