Chai lattes are the ultimate comfort drink for me. The warm flavour of the spices combined with almond milk and a little bit of sweetness can even make the worst days just a little bit better. Because we don’t always have the time to go to coffee shops that serve them, and because most of the store bought instant powders contain way more sugar than necessary, I decided to create this healthier homemade version with matcha.
Ingredients:
1 medium mug almond milk (or any other milk)
1 teaspoon matcha powder
a little bit of the chai spice mix to taste
honey or maple syrup to taste
Instructions:
Heat up the milk in a pan or the microwave. Put the hot milk in a mug. Then add the matcha powder, chai spice and honey/maple syrup and stir until well combined. Enjoy!
