Healthy banana strawberry ice cream

Have you ever had a craving for ice cream but didn’t eat any because you felt bad about all the refined sugar and fat? Then this guilt-free homemade ice cream is for you!

Ingredients (serves 1):

1 frozen banana

small handful frozen strawberries

1 teaspoon cashew or almond butter

3-4 tablespoons nut milk or milk of choice

Instructions:

Freeze the banana (peeled and sliced) and strawberries for at least 2 hours or over night. Alternatively, you can also buy them frozen. Then, put all the ingredients into a blender (a wide blender bowl works best; narrow smoothie blenders won’t work) and blend until you get a smooth but not too liquid texture. You might need to scrape down the sides a few times while blending. Serve on its own or with nuts, fresh fruit, dark chocolate or whatever else you like. Enjoy!
